As the provincial capital, Halifax is the centre of medical excellence in Nova Scotia.

The primary facilities of The Cobequid Health Centre, The Dartmouth General Hospital, The IWK Health Centre and the QEII Heath Sciences Centre provide a wide-range or medical treatments and procedures ranging from emergency medicine to complex operations and pediatric medical care.

Currently in Nova Scotia, obtaining a family doctor is a challenge as the demand is currently very high, with a long wait list to get one assigned.

 

As an alternate solution, many families utilize on of the many walk-in clinics available throughout the Halifax area. Click on the button below to see what clinics are available.
